Roosters and basket weaving

It has been a busy day, and I will only write briefly before heading off to bed. Noah was awakened by my alarm this morning, so he accompanied me to morning report at 7 AM to discuss a case of pneumonia in a young girl. Noah ate a breakfast bar and listened intently.

After rounds and lunch, I taught a neonatal resuscitation course while Jeff and Noah bought some baskets made by leprosy patients in the hospital's shop.

When I arrived home in the late afternoon, Noah and I set out for another adventure around Mbingo. We encountered roosters in cages and basket weavers on their front porches. Women were washing clothes while children ate dinner, and men were tending to the small plots of land around each home.

We are all excited for "Youth Day" tomorrow, a national holiday held in honor of children. Noah was again exhausted as we turned out the lights tonight.

Liz,
We'll be happy to see you back here in the S building, but I have to say I'll miss your observations/photos from Cameroon.

Hello from Kansas!! I'm glad to hear that your trip is going so well. It looks amazing! Just keep teaching. :) I also wanted to send a very late thank you for Aiella's Xmas present. I just found it today! It must have blown off my porch the day it was delivered. I found it in my bushes! It is the perfect gift, not only because Aiella will love it but because due its packing the car is in perfect condition, despite multiple snowstorms and rain since Xmas. :) Keep writing, I'll keep checking in.
