I know the inauguration today isn't directly related to our upcoming trip to Cameroon, but I can't help thinking that the entire continent of Africa is also celebrating today. We have many wounds to heal in America and around the world, but I am filled with hope that today will be remembered as the beginning of that healing.
From Noah's daycare report today:
"We were listening to the inauguration on the radio and at one point, Noah gave me this really excited look and said his version of Obama over and over again! He kept saying it and trying to jump up and down!"
I may have read one of his favorite books, Mama Voted for Obama, a few too many times, but I think Noah caught the spirit today, too.
