Blogging in Honduras

My post from yesterday has spontaneously vanished, and I'm not sure if I should blame myself or the mysterious quirks of Honduran technology!

Noah woke up at 5 a.m. this morning, so the two of us set off for Santa Lucia in the early light of dawn. We found the usual combination of satellite TVs and wandering roosters. The Hondurans greeted Noah excitedly and offered to join us on our walk. We passed through the central square of Santa Lucia and headed up the hill, enjoying views of the volcanoes in nearby El Salvador.

Noah was especially impressed by the cows, dogs, and chickens. He has started to point all the time now, and each excited point was accompanied by his trademark, "Aaaahhh!" He also likes to stick out his impressively long tongue.

Noah is napping now and Jeff is in a smaller village for a field clinic. I am heading downstairs to the clinic with the baby monitor. I am still thankful for the technological advances available here!

YEA! I am so glad that blogging is up and running. I am so thankful each time I look back at the details of our last trip to Africa in my blog. You'll be happy you captured things here. Sounds like the adjustment was no problem for Noah. Hope his first words are in spanish!

Glad to hear you all arrived safely and Noah is enjoying his time. The Kelty kids are a bit jealous, but we thought of you today as we "worked" on a local, organic farm. God bless and safe adventures for all.
