Leaving in one week!

In exactly one week, we will be on a plane crossing the Atlantic Ocean. Our visas (and passports) are still at the embassy in Cameroon, our research proposals are awaiting IRB approval, and my driver's license escaped from Jeff's bike jersey two days ago. Nonetheless, we are excited and full of faith that all will come through in the end!
The kids have been in training for Africa over the past few weeks. Jane practiced her farming (and bunny-petting) skills at Sunrock Farm, enduring temperatures around 100 degrees F with grace. Fortunately for us, Cameroon will be considerably cooler than Cincinnati in August.

Noah celebrated his 4th birthday three days ago and received an incredible supply of outdoor gear for his trip. He has been wearing his new hiking boots at all times, accompanied by a backpack with compass, whistle, cooking supplies, lantern, and "a map of Africa". We are in good hands.

Thank you all for your generous support of our trip. If you are still interested in donating, please think about supporting our nanny (Sara Tomelin) with the World Medical Mission link on the right. More importantly, please pray for our trip and for our safe travels to Mbingo.

Noah just asked me and Jeff yesterday, "Mom and Dad, do I have any old jeans?" We told him that he did, and he asked us if he could take them to Cameroon to give to the African kids. We are not sure where he came up with the idea, but we imagine that it is just part of a generous life that he and Jane will both have. Thank you for your love and support, and stay tuned for more updates!
